The Cuica is used
mainly in Samba music. There are several cuica players in the
"bateria" of a Samba School.
Carlinhos da Cuica has dedicated his life to Samba!! His two great passions are Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (Brazil's most popular football club) and Salgueiro Samba School. Carlinhos is a devoted Carnival performer and has paraded with pretty much all major Samba Schools in Rio. He has, in ONE Carnival, paraded with 37 Samba Schools !!
