Carlos Ferreira's Melbourne Samba School is open to people from all walks of life and drumming levels to learn to play in a real samba percussion ensemble environment.

The "bateria" is excellent for team building and socializing; bateria is the percussion section of a samba school. Some samba schools in Rio have over 300 people on its bateria.
