Carlos Ferreira's latest venture at Red's has
only been installed for two months, but judging from the enthusiasm
and the number of patrons, the formula is working.
Saturday marked the premiere performance of a new Ferreira
project: the OZCAT Superband.
.....There is a certain feeling of luxury when you
sink into a night of blues with musicians of this calibre.
All the inflections and nuances are there without
a blink.
They provided a pageant of blues styles from shuffle
to New Orleans. The six musicians hustled an electric
energy, taking this night from the expected to the unexpected."
